• Coral, Peach, & Soft Pink: These complement the natural pink and orange tones of the canyon perfectly. They look harmonious and bright in photos.
• Yellow & Gold: These colors resonate with the golden hour light that often filters into the canyon, creating a radiant effect.
• Light Earth Tones: Think tan, light khaki, or soft brown. They blend with the environment while still reflecting enough light to keep you visible.

Colors to Avoid: They Disappear or Clash

• Black and Navy Blue: These are the biggest offenders. They absorb light and will turn you into a featureless shadow in many shots.

Winter Visits (November - February)

The desert can be quite cold. The key is layers. Wear a bright, long-sleeved base layer, a warm but packable mid-layer (like a fleece), and a light jacket. You can remove layers inside the canyon if you get warm from walking. Avoid a single heavy, dark coat.
